Delete your account
You can request deletion of your Tallyroo account and associated personal data in the app or by email. You do not need to install the app or sign in to this website to submit an email request.
Request deletion by email
Send your request to service@tallyroo.app, preferably from the email address registered with your Tallyroo account. We will contact you at the address stored in your account to verify ownership and ask you to explicitly confirm permanent deletion. Never send us your password.
Alternatively, write directly to service@tallyroo.app.
After confirmation, we process your request as soon as possible, without the app’s 30-day recovery period. Deletion is permanent. If you no longer have access to your registered email address, contact us so we can review an alternative way to verify ownership. We will notify you by email once deletion from the active systems is complete.
Request deletion in the app
Open your profile, open the menu and select “Delete account”. Deletion is scheduled for 30 days later to protect against accidental requests. During this period you can continue using your account and withdraw your deletion request. After the period expires, deletion is permanent.
What is deleted?
- Email address, username, internal user identifier and personal profile data.
- Password hash, Google and Apple sign-in identifiers, and session, refresh, password-reset and push tokens.
- Profile picture, feedback and its screenshots, and your own recipes including ingredients, steps and uploaded recipe images.
- Your list memberships, synchronization data and technical notification data.
What remains?
Shared shopping lists and their items remain available to other members. Your membership and attribution are removed. If you owned a list, its owner field is cleared and the list is marked “Owner deleted”. Shopping items you created remain without a reference to your account. References to your user ID, username and email address are also removed from retained technical change and membership records.
Technical deletion logs retain only a job ID that can no longer be linked to your account after completion, status, timestamps, error codes and technical counts. They contain no usernames, email addresses, tokens or file paths and are automatically deleted after 7 days.
Backups may temporarily retain data for up to one month until regular backup rotation removes it. These copies are not used in active operation. If a backup is restored, completed deletions are reapplied.
Deleting your Tallyroo account does not delete or change your Google or Apple account.
